Diane Allen Obituary

AllenFeb. 12, 1940 - Feb. 11, 2012 DEL CITY Diane Brendlinger Allen, 71, of Del City, passed away February 11, 2012 with her family by her side in Oklahoma City. Diane was born February 12, 1940 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Sonja Chatterly and Robert N. Brendlinger, Sr. She graduated high school from Mater Misericordiae Academy in Merion, Pennsylvania. Diane married the late Earle Allen on June 14, 1975 in Carson City, Nevada. She enjoyed life in Pennsylvania, California and Oregon before coming to Oklahoma in 1995 to join her children and grandchildren. Interests included sewing and painting. She was also a very dedicated cat owner. Diane was preceded in death by her husband Earle "Gill" Allen; son William "Bill" Skalla; granddaughter Crystal Moody; and great-granddaughter Alexis Skalla. She is survived by her son Joe Skalla and daughter-in-law Cristy of Del City; daughter Jackie Skalla of Del City; daughter-in-law Sheila Skalla of Midwest City; son Eddie Skalla and daughter-in-law Patti of Enid; son Robert Skalla and daughter-in-law Kellye of Oklahoma City; son David Skalla and daughter-in-law Loana of Del City; brother Robert Brendlinger and sister-in-law Theresa of Northport, Alabama; brother William Brendlinger II of Summers Point, New Jersey; sister Harriet Hanisak of Easton, Pennsylvania; as well as 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She will be missed very much by her friends and family. Services will be held in Candlewood Chapel at Ford Funeral Service on February 16, 2012 at 3:00 pm.

Mom, I love and miss you very much. You loved us as best as you could and you are know longer suffering physically as the arms of JESUS are wrapped around you in his love and care. We will honor you as you so desired. I will see you on the other side, when my name is called and I know it maybe sooner rather than later.
