Dixie Agnew Obituary

Dixie Agnew died Oct. 21, 2007 in Oklahoma City. She was born July 17, 1914 in Lawton and graduated from Cameron Univ. She then graduated from Nursing School at Wesley Hospital in Oklahoma City. She served in WAC at Fort Sill during WWII. She served as a registered nurse for 21 years, the last 16 years of which were at Southwestern Hospital in Lawton. Dixie was a fun loving person. She enjoyed various crafts and hobbies and was an avid collector. She loved to travel and has visited 20 countries and 47 states. She is survived by her husband, Robert Agnew; one son, Richard Fults; daughter-in-law, Sandra Fults; two grandchildren, Brian and Steve Fults; four great-grandchildren, Jessica, Lindsay, Stevie, and Stefani Fults; and her stepfamily. She was preceded in death by her father, Stanley Bates; mother, Arlena Bates; two sisters, Dorothy and Marie; and one son, Gary Fults. The funeral service will be Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, at 1 p.m. at Smith & Kernke Chapel, 14624 N. May Ave. A graveside service will follow at Highland Cemetery in Lawton at 4 p.m. SMITH & KERNKE 14624 N. MAY AVE
