Era Smiley

Era Opal Foster SmileyOn July 1, 2009, our beloved Mother, Era Smiley, "slipped the surly bonds of earth" and was received into the arms of a loving God, whom she had served for 99 years. She follows our Dad, Boone Smiley, the love of her life for 72 years. We grieve, not for her, but for ourselves. Our joy comes from our remembrance of her sweet spirit and a life spent serving others. Services were conducted July 3rd at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, Colleyville, Texas, followed by interment next to the one with whom she shared her life. Surviving children are Chuck and Sally Smiley, San Diego, California; Bill and Ann Hilton, Bedford, Texas; and Nancy Smiley, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
