As a few of the Navgators attending UT Austin were invited to Gene's home back in the early 1970's with John Mahon. Gene's devotion, discipline, and ministry made a lasting impression on me 50 years ago. Irma, I still remember the peaches and cream. God bless your family.

In all of my travels around the City of Warr Acres there are reminders of Gene on nearly every corner of Warr Acres that he either was a part of or totally responsible for. He was a great leader in this community. I would like to share my condolences on this anniversary of his passing.

I never knew Mr. Warr but grew up in Warr Acres and have seen his and his fathers fabulous work throughout the city. Many things have changed over the years but they laid the groundwork for a truly marvelous city. Now as mayor of Warr Acres it is even more amazing to see the work that was done then and continues to this day through his children always working to improve Warr Acres. I am honored to know Cory not only as a business associate working with the city but also as a friend.

Dear Irma & family,
We remember the warmth of your home as you opened it to share your lives and the love of Christ. The men that Gene discipled have passed to us the grace and knowledge of Christ, and as we plan to see one of our children move half way around the world to share the love of Christ, we stop to give thanks to God for you and Gene for being so faithful.

Dear Irma and Family,
With you, we mourn Gene’s passing, yet celebrate his life. We are so grateful for his impact on our family and many throughout the world. It was a privilege to serve as his secretary for 2½ years, and witness his heart of commitment, generosity, seeing the importance of each individual, speaking the truth in love to help someone grow, and investing one's life in God's priorities. It was also a privilege to have him speak at our wedding ceremony, 26 years ago today. The longer we are married and the more we review his charges to us, the more we realize how they stand the test of time. His wisdom was from above. He’s there with Jesus now.

Irma and Family,
I was a student at OU and had the opportunity to feel the impact you and Gene have had on the lives of students. I appreciate so much everything the two of you invested in those around you. What a blessing Gene was in the lives of many. I'm sorry for your loss, but join with you in celebrating Gene's journey home to Jesus.

Dear Irma,
You don't know me, I just graduated for OU in 2005. But while at OU, I was fully cognizant of the investments you and your husband made to ensure that people like me, could learn how to walk more deeply and intimately with the Lord. I really have enjoyed being able to access messages you and your husband gave years ago. I've also heard many wonderful stories about you and him. And even though the Lord has called Gene home, I am reminded of his legacy of loving God and people, which is eternal, because the very souls of men were snatched from the flame. I offer my prayers and condolences. Peace to you and your family,
Dana

To Mrs Warr and Kory, it has been my greatest pleasure to take care of Mr Warr. Know that he was comfortable in his last days and most of all "spoiled". I will miss him smiling and talking to me in the mornings. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

It has been years since we have had contact with you, Irma, or Gene. Yet, we have fond memories of some special times we had before we moved to Washington state in 1965. We know that God is faithfully ministering to you through your family, His church and your many friends. We thank God for the faithfulness to Christ that you and Gene lived before us especially in Oklahoma City and with the Navigator retreats in Colorado Springs in the early 1960's.

Dear Irma, Kory, Kyle and Christie, Although I never met Gene, I know how much he meant to all of you. I came into office after his retirement but have seen his many works, i.e., business as well as spiritual. His relationship to the Lord has been a source of strength for me. He has been a role model to me and many others. My heart goes out to your family in this time of loss but I know that he is receiving his reward and rejoicing around the throne. His life will continue to be an inspiration to me. God bless you all, Marietta Tardibono, Mayor Warr Acres, OK.

Kyle, Christie and Family - we are so sorry for your loss.
This verse comes to mind:
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith.
... II Timothy 4:7
Here is a poem I hope that will bring you and your family comfort:

An Empty House
```.````
It's not as if I'm going,
To an empty house, you see.
I know I'm going up there,
With my other family.
```
I want no tears or crying.
I want to see you smile.
Just stay with me and hold my hand
As I walk that last long mile.
```
My life's been good and filled with Love,
Just see how I've been blessed.
I've seen a lot and done a lot,
I've had the very best.
```
Why, look around and you will see,
As all of you are here.
That no one could have asked for more ~
You're all so very dear.
```
No, it's not an empty house,
This place I'm traveling to -
I'm just arriving sooner,
Than any one of you.
Irma and family, Our prayers are with you. We know this is a tremendous loss to you and to many; yet because it is tremendous gain for Gene, we join with all of you in your rejoicing. What a blessing for you to know that Gene faithfully ran the course with joy and endurance. He has finally crossed the finish line. His life has brought blessing to many and has brought praise and honor to the Lord Jesus Christ. May you and your family find God's peace, comfort, and grace as you continue running the race. He is the Faithful One. Our confident prayer is that He will carry you and that you will release your sorrows to Him, laying hold of His provision of grace for each day, as you walk this new path of your journey.
Gene was a giant for God. We have thanked God so much in these past days, since hearing of His Homegoing, for Gene's and Irma's loving, godly influence on our lives. Their generosity humbled us. Their lives challenged us. Their friendship encouraged us. Thank you, dear Gene- you are seeing our Lord and hearing His "Well done...!" We love you, and we love Irm.
Dear Irma,
Vickey and I are forever grateful for you and Gene and how God has used you to encourage our walk with Christ. As young college students you began investing in us and we cannot say thank you enough. Gene will always be a great example to me of a man who used his business as a platform for ministry. His countless giving both financially and spiritually has plannted seeds around the world that are producing eternal fruit. The young couples Bible study that you invited us to join has been a foundation not only for our marriage but for our teaching ministry to others. We love you dearly and we commit to continue investing in others the priceless gift that Gene has invested in us. Brian & Vickey Banks
