September 20, 1947-October 21, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Gregory Lee Cook, 66, passed away October 21, 2013 in Oklahoma City. Greg was born on September 20, 1947 in Bloomington, Illinois to Lorraine and Oliver Cook. He grew up in Tonkawa, Oklahoma where graduated high school in 1965. He received B.S. and M.S. degrees in Geology from Oklahoma State University in 1970 and 1972, respectively. His greatest love was his family. He is survived by his wife: Janie, and their five children: Jeb Cook and wife Sara of Oklahoma City, Ann Cook Blalack of Dallas, Texas, Ben Cook and Jessica Jarvis of Oklahoma City, Elizabeth Cook McCauley and husband Corey of Dallas, Texas, and Jeffrey Cook and wife Ashton of Fort Worth, Texas. He was the proud grandfather of six grandchildren who affectionately call him "GaGa": Eddie, Henry and Katherine Cook, Brooks, Charlie and Jane Blalack and one on the way, Jeffrey Cook, Jr. He is also survived by his three brothers: Barry Cook and wife Mary of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, Brad Cook of Perry, Oklahoma, and Dennis Cook and wife Jamie of Edmond, Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by his parents: Lorraine and Oliver Cook and in-laws: Jane and Jim Brooks.
