JACK SMART Obituary

Sept 14, 1930 - March 12, 2015 EDMOND Jack Smart was born on Sept. 14, 1930, to Ira and Zoe Smart in Manitou, OK. In the early morning hours of March 12, 2015, Jack took his final earthly breath with his wife by his side and entered into the presence of his Savior. On August 11, 2004, Jack married Karen Groeschel at Matanuska Glacier in Alaska. They have called Edmond home since that date. Jack made his faith a priority, and as a member of Life Church, he was active in his Life Group, which he considered his extended family. Survivors include his wife, Karen; sons, David, Daniel (Trenea), Josh (Genii), and Adam (Gina); stepson, Craig Groeschel (Amy); stepdaughter, Lisa Woods (Jonathan); sister, Hurene "Dusty" Westmoreland; as well as 32 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. A Visitation and Reception will be 6-8 p.m. on Monday, March 23 at Crawford Family Funeral Service, Edmond. A Service Celebrating His Life will be at the funeral home 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 24. Interment will follow at the Rose Hill Burial Park in Oklahoma City. Donations may be made in Jack's name to Life Church or to the charity of your choice.
