Janell Grenier

Janell Elsey Grenier was born in Oklahoma City on December 24, 1954 to parents, George and LaNell Elsey, and was surrounded by her immediate family when she died at her home in West Chester, PA on October 14, 2010, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Janell graduated from Putnam City High School in 1973. She enrolled in the School of Music in the Fine Arts College at the University of Oklahoma, where she graduated in 1977 with a 4.0 average and was selected for Mortar Board. She also belonged to Alpha Chi Omega sorority. She then entered the OU College of Law and received her law degree in 1980. After graduation she married Lance Grenier. They lived in Oklahoma, where their three children were born, and they subsequently lived in Kansas, Utah and Pennsylvania. In those states Janell served with a number of law firms, as well as conducting her own private practice. Janell was predeceased by her father and by her brother, James V. Elsey. Survivors include her husband; her mother; son, Michael Grenier and his wife Emily; son, Philip Grenier; and daughter, Sarah Grenier. A private committal service was held on October 25th at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Oklahoma City. It was conducted by the Reverend Dr. Matt Meinke of the First Presbyterian Church.
