Jerri Howard Obituary

Jerri Howard, 82, of Midwest City, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 22, 2010. She leaves behind her children: daughter, Karen Rollf, and grandson, Judah; daughter, Kenda Bell, and grandson, Wesley; granddaughter, Micha and husband Tim; her sister, Vera Rich and brother-in-law, Roy; also nieces and a nephew. She leaves behind a devoted friend, Oleta Pennington, and her church family that loved her and made her feel special. Jerri was preceded in death by her parents, Otis & Celeste Singletary; brother, Kendall Williams; nephew, Edward (Arthur) Rich. She lived many years as a military spouse, but the best years were while living and raising her daughters in Hawaii and traveling abroad to the Republic of China. She broadened her horizons and those of her girls and grandchildren by being a world traveler by land, air and sea. Jerri retired from a career with the federal government to do more world traveling and to take part in more games as an avid, die-hard, OU football fan. Other favorite things in her life were sewing, dancing, being a church nursery worker, taking road trips and cruises with her family, and especially traveling with her Bubba. Her family has peace in knowing that Mimi is dancing for the Lord in the fields of grace, and she will live in our hearts forever. Graveside services will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at Arlington Memory Gardens, 3400 N. Midwest Blvd., Midwest City, OK, under the direction of Ford Funeral Service. Following services, lunch will be served at Sooner Baptist Church, Midwest City.
