I am so saddened to hear of John's passing. He was my talent agent during Wilmington's 1990s film boom. He encouraged me to move to Wilmington, where he became a dear friend and mentor. I will miss his kindness, intelligent conversations, sound advice, his sense of humor and his laugh. My thoughts and prayers are with Suzanne and his family whom he loved dearly.

I am so saddened to learn of Mr. B's passing. I worked in the Bonitz Companies Construction office for many years. I always remember John as a kind man who wanted to afford everyone around him the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Even back then John always had his furry friend "BB" with him. BB would even accompany John to our lunch meetings. BB would wait patiently in the car with motor running to keep him cool/warm. Most lunch meetings went well with this arrangement, except one; BB put the car in gear and rolled away.

Such fond, fond memories.

God bless your family.

Patti and I were saddened to learn of John's passing. We had the privledge of several visits over the years, both at his home and at ours at Topsail Island. My mom Gerda also thought highly of John throughout her lifetime. Through his efforts, I have learned much about the Bonitz family and my German ancestry. Please know that you are all in our prayers at this time.

I had the most amazing experience being able to know Mr. B...he has been a huge part of my life for decades. Always smiling, listening to his classical music, calling me Dear Girl...my heart is so broken, knowing every week, I will no longer see his bright face, or hear that cheerful laugh. He always had a brillant answer for one of my crazy questions. I would always tell him, when i come back in another life, i wanted to be one of his precious dogs(lol). I love him and Mrs.Suzanne with all my heart. Prayers for all your family!

My beloved mr. John, you will truly be missed by so many.
I will always remember and cherish all my stories that you shared with me.
My time with you was always filled with laughter and knowledge.
You first told me about the meaning behind the rainbow bridge .
That was the sweetest thing.
Everything about you was intriguing.
I know the pain is gone and I know your walking meto right now looking down on your loved ones.
I love you mr. John thank you for being apart of my life.

I had the pleasure of working for Mr. Bonitz many years ago. He was always fair and quite the gentleman. I will always remember him for introducing me to the "nosegay" and it's history and for his role in Shakespere. A fine man. Remembered forever.

Dear Suzanne,
It was such a pleasure getting to know John and you over the last few years. I was so happy to "find" him after so many years of genealogy research. What a charming, funny, genuine man he was. I will always remember his lovely smile and witty ways. Even though I met you both just a couple of times, they are times I will remember with much affection and love. He is another shining star in Heaven now.
Much love to you from Shona Osborne.

John was an original in all ways, a gentleman of many parts. I shall always appreciate his producing and directing my play The Porch in its Manhattan performance, and directing my daughter Leila in Pirates of Penzance in Wilmington. What a fascinating family he has, of many interests.
