John was a super person. I worked with him while at OG&E during the scary Y2K time when everyone thought the electricity would fail, and John's team made sure it didn't, even though OG&E gave little credit to the team's efforts. John made many a stressful time less stressful. John, my friend, thank you for everything, and I look forward to meeting and walking with you again "on the other side".

RIP my friend...your journey will be a great one just like your life on earth. I remember the good times in DPD, the 10:15 a.m. coffee group--Dick Shirley, Mike Fowler, Jim Hutson, Karen Rogers, Donna Peery and myself--and all the fun we had in 15 minutes. You were a good story teller and you will be remembered for your great one liners. BTW--now you will to tell Art Cox how you really feel and to teach Jim Hutson how to finish a sentence. You were a good friend and co-worker.

To a great camp cook. Someone easy to travel with. Big 12 Championships in Kansas City, trips to Vegas, snow skiing in Colorado and probably 30 hunting trips. A great bud, a true friend.

I remember the first time I met John. It was January 3, 1983...my first day of employment as a programmer at OG&E. John's dry wit took me off guard -- I wasn't sure what to think of him at first. But during my 17 years at OG&E, John became my friend. He was fun and smart and friendly. After 13 years of being away from Oklahoma, I can still hear his voice and see his smile. When I think of John, I also think of JD Hudson and Mike Olson and Rob Wilson and Fred Joiner....the SHOWJ bowling team at the annual OG&E bowling tourney. What a great bunch of fellows. John, thanks for being my friend.
