LARRY CHILDERS

April 15, 1945 - March 16, 2015 OKLAHOMA CITY Larry (Mike) Childers passed away Monday, March 16, 2015, in OKC. He was born April 15, 1945 in Gans, OK to Cleve and Viola Mae Chil-ders and grew up in Gans, graduating from Gans HS with the Class of 1963. Mike proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He moved to OKC in 1970 and for over 30 years owned and operated a Pest Control Co. Mike leaves behind his partner of 46 years, Gary Hicks Childers, MD, of the home; two sisters, Reba Shadell of Muldrow, OK and Barbara Tucker of OKC; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Virgil Childers and Cleve Childers Jr. and two sisters, Norma Benke and Vera Melton. Mike will be missed by his many friends and family and especially his precious puppies. Services to celebrate his life will be 10:00 am, Saturday, March 21st, at Buchanan Funeral Service with burial in the Fort Smith National Cemetery.
