Lee Haney Obituary

Lee F. Haney Sr., 69, passed away Friday, December 12, 2008, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born December 15, 1938, in Sulpher, Oklahoma. Lee was raised in Southern California until his late teenage years before moving back to Oklahoma where he met the love of his life Jean Carol Hornick. Lee and Jean wed October 6, 1957 in Clarksdale Mississippi. On October 6, 2007 Lee and Jean had the wedding ceremony they always dreamed of when they renewed their vows after 50 years of marriage in Las Vegas, Nevada. Lee and Jean took great pride in the fact that all of their children and grandchildren participated in the ceremony. Lee was a very devoted husband, father and papa to his family. In 1967 Lee started a small one man business, Flair Body Works in downtown Moore, Oklahoma. Over the last 40 years Flair Body Works has grown into a small corporation, including 3 locations and employing over 75 employees. Lee was proud to work with his sons and let them continue the family business. After retiring, Lee enjoyed family time including golf, fishing, racing with the Flair Racing team, mowing and gambling. Lee is survived by his wife, Jean Haney three sons, Lee Haney, Jr. and wife Nancy of OKC, Alan Haney and his wife Rhonda of Moore, Phillip Haney and wife Gina of Moore one daughter, Marian May and husband Mike of Fort Smith, AR one brother Buddy Haney and wife Bonnie of Duncan, OK nine grandchildren, Haley, Mark, Joey, Amber, Kristen, Whitney, Kaydee, Samantha and Logan one great grandchild Ryan Lee and a host of other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Floyd John Haney. Dad, start looking for the nicest golf courses. You will be missed dearly until we meet again, we all love you very much. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 17, 2008 in the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in Resthaven Memory Gardens. The Family will hold a meet and greet on Tuesday evening 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
