LINDA GROVER Obituary

Linda Joyce Grover

OKLAHOMA CITY
Linda (Lin) Joyce Grover, age 81, made her transition on 11/28/20. She was born to Harry W. and Ruth K. Grover in Danvers, MA. After graduating high school, she entered the military and served in the Air Force and the US Army, after which she moved to Oklahoma City. She moved to San Francisco, CA where she worked at the US Post Office while she attended and graduated from City College of San Francisco with an A.S. in Dental Lab Technology. She moved back to OKC and worked for McConaghie Dental Lab for 23 years. She retired from the University of Oklahoma Dental School after over 10 years of service.
Lin is survived by her nephews David Putnam and wife Ann, Bruce Putnam and wife Nancy, and many great-nieces and nephews, as well as her close friends and caretakers, Barney and Michelle Kaminsky. She was predeceased by her parents, her life partner, Mary Lee Nichols, her sister, Shirley Putnam and her husband, Stephen, and her niece Christina Sadowski.
Lin loved animals and became a pet sitter and leaves behind her cat, Cricket and a colony of feral cats that she tended to for years. Lin loved to travel, read, cook and do all kinds of word puzzles. She also liked to play the slots at Remington Park Casino. Lin had donated her body to the OU Medical School for scientific research but that was nixed by her COVID status.
A private service will be held in MA at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Free To Live Animal Sanctuary, P.O. Box 5884, Edmond, OK 73083-5884.
