Mildred Kienlen Obituary

Mildred Lundberg, age 83 passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2004. She was born June 19, 1920 to Sanford and Maude (Atchison) Norrie in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Mildred graduated from Classen High School and also from the University of Oklahoma. In 1947 she marred Ellis Lundberg, co-founder of Barber & Lundberg Vet Supply. Ellis passed away in 1973 while vacationing in Australia. Mildred loved to travel and traveled extensively around the globe during her life. Mildred especially loved gardening and would delay travel during the spring and summer months to tend to her beautiful flowers. She married Kenneth Kienlen May 1, 1993, who shared her love of travel as well as many other common interests. They enjoyed ten wonderful years together. Mildred was a member of many organizations including the PEO chapter Al, Listeners Review Club, Blue Flower Garden Club, La Junta Review Club, Ball & Chain Club and the OKC Golf & County Club. She was also a devoted and long time member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband Kenneth; daughter, Peggy Stegner and husband Dan; and two grandsons, Patrick and Christopher Stegner. Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 26, 2004 at St. Luke's United Methodist Church with entombment to follow at Rose Hill Abbey Mausoleum.
