PHYLLIS DOMINGUEZ Obituary

July 6, 1943 - Feb 5, 2015 OKLAHOMA CITY Phyllis Sue Dominguez, 71, Oklahoma City resident, was born on July 6, 1943, in Oklahoma City to Clarence & Olga (Edon) Hurst and passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015, after battling an illness for several months. She was a performing musician for 55 years, an award-winning writer, educator, master gardener, loving wife and mother. Of all her accomplishments, raising her daughter gave her the most joy and contentment, and nothing delighted her more than spending time with her granddaughters and teaching them music. Phyllis is survived by her husband of 40 years, Michael, of the home; their daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Brent Schartung, and granddaughters, Vivian and Evelyn, all of Plano, Texas; and sister, Anne Morris, of Oklahoma City. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10 at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 2727 S.W. 119th, Oklahoma City.
