Reynold Rasmussen

Reynold (Rey) Rasmussen, age 87, passed away July 10, 2010. Reynold was born September 6, 1922 in St. Paul, MN to Vera and Reynold Rasmus-sen. He is preceded in death by his late wife, Dolly. Survived by his wife, Norma; his sons: Todd, and fiance, Ann Marie Ericksen, of Jones, OK; Kraig and wife, Erica, of White Bear Lake, MN; Kerry and wife, Sue, of Stillwater, MN; and stepchildren: Gary White and wife, Myrna, of Edmond; Robyn Harris and husband, Pat, of Seminole; Tammy Edwards and husband, Hudson, of Guthrie; Kevin White and wife, Janet, of Guthrie; and more grandchildren and great-grandchildren than you can shake a stick at. Rey served in the U.S. Marines in the South Pacific during WW2. He retired in 1986 from a career as a purchasing agent in sales. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, bowling, dancing and golfing. Rey's joy for life and adventure has inspired his children and grandchildren to live their own lives more fully, and his great social nature will be missed by all who knew him. Rey will be remembered as a devoted, loving husband, father and grandfather. Memorial service will be held at the VFW in Guthrie, Tuesday, July 13, 2010, from 2:00pm-5:00pm.
