Sandy Allard Obituary

Sandy Allard, 64, passed away, Sunday, December 30, 2007. She was born October 7, 1943 in Hobbs, NM to Gordon Lemons and Beth Dunham Lemons- Ward. Sandy grew up in the Oklahoma City and Choctaw area, graduating from Del City High School in 1961. Sandy and Dan Allard were married on October 4, 1974 in Oklahoma City. She was employed by AT&T as an electronics tester and retired in 1995 after 30 years. She has enjoyed crocheting, gardening flowers, her kitties, and most especially, doting on her eight grandchildren. Trips with her sister to Ireland, New York City, Palm Springs, an Alaskan Cruise and trips to Florida to see grandkids have also been her joy. Sandy has been preceded in death by her parents, Gordon Lemons and Beth Ward and her beloved grandma, 'Sweetie' Rose Lemons. Sandy is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Dan; children, Michele Davis and husband Tracy of Niceville, FL, Malisha Strain and husband William of Niceville, FL, Dana Shockley and husband Russell of Oklahoma City, Tammy Allard of Edmond; grandchildren, Austin Davis, Morgan Davis, Lance Strain, Bryant Shockley, Derek Shockley, Dylan Shockley, Katelynn Allard, Hannah Allard; sister, Judy Crane of Oklahoma City; brothers, Dennis Lemons and Philip Lemons of Midwest City; aunt, Bennie Lawson of Amarillo, TX; other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 4, 2008, in the Chapel of Resthaven Funeral Home. Visitation will begin Thurs., Jan. 3 at 10 a.m. Memorials may be sent to Mercy Angels, Cancer Care Unit c/o Mercy Hospital, 4300 West Memorial Road, Oklahoma City, OK 73120. To Dan and the family of Sandy,I am just heart broken because of the loss of Sandy.She was my dearest friend for many ,many ,years ,and I enjoyed many hours of fun and conversation with Sandy at Lucent.My heart goes out to all of you because of the loss of such a beautiful,kind,and loving soul.Sincerely,Mary Ann Hogan
