Terry Casteel Obituary

Terry D. Casteel (Oklahoma City's finest) was born August 14, 1946 to Dorothy Fry-Casteel and Clarance A. Casteel, in OKC and passed away on Friday, May 8, 2009. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy V. Casteel, and his wife, Donna E. Floyd-Casteel. Terry graduated from Douglas High School in 1964. He attended Langston University and graduated from Central State University. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Si Fraternity, Inc., Alpha Phi Chapter. Terry was employed as a counselor, entertainer promoter, sales representative and entrepreneur. He was a great entertainer, a great humanitarian and loved to fish. Terry leaves to cherish his memories a father, Clarance A. Casteel a brother, Michael E. Casteel son, Corry F. Casteel daughter, Terrycia V. Casteel and three granddaughters two grandsons and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services 11 AM Thursday 5/14/09 at the Quayle United Methodist Church. Interment is in Hillcrest Memory Gardens under the direction of Temple & Sons Funeral Directors, Inc.

My sincerest condolences go to the Casteel Family. Terry and I were classmates at Langston University. He will truly be missed.

I remember Terry from our place of employment at US Security. He was a friendly, mild mannered man, who always had a compliment and a smile for you. My heart goes out to his family, who is sure to miss his candid spirit and love of all life.

My condolences to the Casteel Family, especially Mr Casteel (father) and Michael. I have fond childhood memories of Terry, Michael, Carolyn Black Norton and Marjorie (Toodie) Bunn Irvin playing together. Terry, may God continue to be with you.
