Dear Tammy - I am so sorry for your recent loss. You do not know me. My name is Starla Donaldson and I lost my best friend and husband suddenly in May. He was 42. I have felt impressed to write this. I don't know why, except only through the grace and mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ have I been able to move ever so slowly forward, even though at times it does not seem possible to do so. I read the obit in the paper and realized the similarities of our loss. I will be praying for you and your family as I also am raising children without my life partner. Cling to the Lord's hand and He will carry you through this valley. You're in my thoughts and prayers, Starla Donaldson

I knew Terry what seems like a long time ago in High School. I remember him as such a gracious and kind young man. I am sad to hear of your loss...but am so glad to know that Terry found his salvation in our Lord Jesus Christ. I look forward to seeing him again, when we all gather together with our Father.

I, like Kelli Lane, knew Terry when we were young. I would still occassionaly see him around town as we got older. His smile would bring sunshine to a gloomy day. He will be missed. My humble sorrow to his family and friends.

Dear Tammy & Garrett,
I just want you to know you are in our hearts and Prayers. I loved Terry as my brother and always will. He always watched over me growing up, just as a big brother would.

Terry is our 3rd. son so to speak. He learned almost everything he knew about cars from David, Sr. and David loved teaching him. He was here several times a month and if he couldn't come over, he would call and say he was "Just checking in"...I could write a book about Terry. He's been part of our family since he was 14 years old. We've taken him on vacations, car shows, and camping. He considered David Sr. his dad and David Jr. and Tim his brothers. Of course, he loved Kristi as a sister he never had. We had a 41 Chevy, he bought one, came over to make sure the yellow paint was the right color. We bought a white extended cab Chevy, came home one day and there was one just like it out in the driveway. I said, 'Like father like son", and he said "Yep, can't get any better than that."
He bought David Jr. 55 Chevy because he loved it and I think he didn't want anyone else to have it.He put a personalized license plate on it...MEMRIES...
He kept it 5 years or so and when he decided to sell it, he came to Dad and asked him if it was OK. Terry, you are always in our heart, and on our minds. Your legacy will live through your son Garrett and we will be there for him and Tammy any time they need us, and sometimes when they don't. Just look down on us once in a while and tap our shoulders to let us know you're thinking about us.
We love you, Terry...but you know that.

I talked with Terry about 3 weeks ago when he came over to Dad's house to pick up the trailer. He said that he had just finished his shop and was going to move his 56. It was the first time I had seen him in a while so we sat at the table and talked for an hour. I never would have never thought it would have been the last.
My heart aches with his passing. I will miss him dearly.

We first met Terry when he joined the C.C. Riders car club. He had a great sense of humor. I think the funniest memory I have of Terry is about 7 years ago we moved to Tuttle. We hired Terry to replace the counter tops in the kitchen. He came over after work; he had his tool belt with him. I showed him the kitchen and described to him what I would like the counter tops to look like. He said, “Okay, all I need to do is get the measurements.” So I went back into the front room and started to paint. All of the sudden from the kitchen, I heard a loud BANG-SMASH –CRACK-WHAM… I jumped off my ladder and ran into the kitchen. There stood Terry with a big sledgehammer and old broken counter tops on the floor all around him. Then with out even batting an eye, he made a funny face and a Tasmanian devil sound and said “ Terry like, tear stuff up….” I just shook my head and went back to painting.
We will miss Terry, and we will recall these memories with an even greater fondness.
Tammy, know that you and Garrett are in our prayers. Be strong.
