Willa Urist Obituary

Willa Mae, 84, went to be with Jesus our Lord on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007. She was born April 3, 1923 in Castle, OK to William H. Davis, M.D. and Molly Lorene (Henderson) Davis. She was raised by her grandmother, Dora Sawyer. Willa Mae married Tom Urist, the love of her life, on November 11, 1939 and they spent 67 wonderful years together. She was working as a P.T. Assistant and Activities Director at Mid-Del Manor Nursing Home, when she received the Award of Miss. Tinker-Belle. Willa Mae enjoyed being a homemaker, making quilts, canning jelly and spending time with her family. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, and grandmother. She leaves wonderful memories with her daughter, Vicki Urist of Del City; grandchildren, Bev Evans and husband Danny of Harrah, OK, David Kimery Jr. and wife Leslie of Avon, IN, and Brenda Gunter and husband Bobby of Yukon, OK; great-grandchildren, Ashley Rampey and husband Chris of Bossier City. LA, Danny Evans II of OKC, and Luke Kimery of Avon, IN; and great-great granddaughter Audrey Rose Rampey. Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, Dec. 28, 2007 at Del City Church of Christ, where she has been a member for over 30 years. She will be buried in Little, OK at Little Cemetery at 2:30 PM.
