WILLIAM POE

1962 - 2017

PoeOct. 22, 1962 - Jul. 14, 2017 YUKON William (Billy) Guy Poe, 54, tragically left us to join our loved ones in Heaven on July 14, 2017. William was a fun, quirky, generous and loving man. He joined the Army in 1979 at the age of 17, where he trained to become part of The Elite 82nd Airborne Division. His Veteran status was his most prized accomplishment, second only to his children. William was survived by his wife, Betty (Jones); his children, Julia Castor-Whitson and Marc Whitson and Patrick and Natasha Poe; son-in-law Chadd Castor; grandchildren Callie Estelle, Andrew Guy, Anara Michele and soon to be Baby Boy Whitson; father Patrick N. Poe, mother Elizabeth A. Austin; brothers Larry Brady and Preston Poe and sister Lisa Krag; and many other beloved family members. Memorial Services were held on July 23rd. Attendees granted William's wishes by giving him his final party. We will all remember him comically, fondly, dearly and lovingly.
