Winfield Scott Fleming

Winfield Scott, born March 7, 1921, in Meridan, KS to Winfield Scott and Mame Fleming, went to his Lord Nov. 10, 2002. Scotty served in WWII as Radarman 1/C, aboard the U.S.S. Colorado. He married Zella Mae Turner Aug. 31, 1946, and moved to OKC in 1949. He was a Mason, enjoyed bowling, and an avid Sooner fan: He enjoyed his grandkids, their friends and sports activities and known to all as 'Grandpa'. Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and wife, Zella. Scotty is survived by two sons, Jim Fleming and Tink Fleming and wife Janet, all of OKC; daughter Rhonda Bratcher and husband, Kent, Yukon; nine grandchildren: Jennifer Fleming, OKC; Tanner Fleming, Tulsa; Chance fleming and wife, Alisha, Dallas, TX; Azure Grillo and husband Derek, Broomfield, NJ; Chevis Fleming, Houston, TX; Jason Bratcher, Norman; Jamie Cox, OKC; Ryne Bratcher and Matthew Bratcher, both of Yukon; three great-grandchildren, Bryce and Vivian Cox and Gwyneth Grillo. He has been the foundation for many and will be missed by all. 'We love you Grandpa.' Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor John Miller at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, at Mercer-Adams Funeral Home in Bethany, with interment following at Chapel Hill Cemetery in OKC. Mercer-Adams
