Alma Griffin Obituary
La Grange
Alma Jean Griffin of La Grange passed away Aug. 23rd, 2021 at her home. She was born to Chester and Mary Ethel Via on July 23rd, 1937 in Besoco, W.Va. She was married to James Griffin who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Richard (Mary), John (Marianne), Virgil, Bryan (Tina) and James; her stepchildren, Larry (Mary), Robert (Katy), Sandra (Ronnie Long), Donnie (Carol) and Johnnie (Kathy). She has 22 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.
She lived for her family and loved taking care of them. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as much as she could.
She worked as a courier for the Orange County Florida Fire Department for over 16 years along with many other small jobs over the years.
Services were held at Stoess Funeral Home Friday, Aug. 27, 2021 with burial at Floydsburg Cemetery in Crestwood.

In 1992, as a new Deputy Chief, Alma escorted me to every fire station in Orange county. She later
gave me a Bible which I cherish more each day.

I´m just learning of Alma´s passing today. I worked with her at Orange County Fire Rescue for many years. She was a cheerful and sweet lady and will be missed by many. May God bless and keep Alma´s family safe. Rest peacefully Alma
