Maxwell Stephen Emerson, a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away tragically on July 5, 2023. He was born on Feb. 17, 1998, in Lexington, Ky., and was 25 years old at the time of his passing. Max's untimely departure has left a void in the hearts of all who knew him.
Max lived in Cynthiana, Ky. briefly before moving to Oldham County with his family, where he grew up and attended Oldham County High School. He graduated in 2016, leaving behind a legacy as an accomplished student and athlete. It was during his time in elementary school that Max discovered his passion for wrestling (although his grandfather thinks he and Brady were wrestling when they came out of the womb), a sport that would become an integral part of his life.
Max's memory will forever be cherished by his loving parents, Steve and Chandra Emerson; his sister, Ellen Emerson (Zuni Kahled); his twin brother, Brady Emerson; and his nephew, Kaiyan Zunayed-Emerson. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Rick Emerson of Cincinnati, Ohio. Maxwell is also survived by his grandparents, Steve and Brenda Holloway and Carolyn Emerson; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members.
