Nathan Matthew Hammond, 17

It is with the deepest sadness that the family of Nathan Hammond announce his sudden passing. He was born June 7, 2007, and passed away Feb. 28, 2025. Nathan was a beloved son, brother, grandson and friend.
With a gentle spirit and kind heart, Nathan was generous, had a passion for reading and excelled in academics at Oldham County High School where he was in his junior year. Nathan enjoyed playing Dungeons and Dragons, board games and was an accomplished chess player. He also found joy in attending the Renaissance Fair and held a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents and step-parents, Brittany Burgin, Matt Hammond, and Megan Hammond; siblings, Isaiah Burgin, Jeremiah, Parker and Melanie Hammond; grandparents and step-grandparents, Sherri Williams, Tony and Candy Hammond, Susan Hammond and Stephanie Grady; aunt, Brooke Montano (Angel III); cousins, Margot, Angel IV and Juliana Montano; great-grandparents, Ken and JoAnn Connelly; and many great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Nathan is preceded in death by his grandfather, Mike Williams and great-grandparents, Carl and Frances Hammond.
Visitation will be held March 9 at Heady Radcliff Funeral Home, 706 W. Jefferson Street, LaGrange from 1 p.m. -5 p.m. with a celebration of life starting at 5 p.m.
Instead of flowers, donations may be made to the KY Suicide Prevention Group or Lucky Cat Café.
