Robert McDonald Obituary
He attended Northeast Christian Church and retired as a Chief Engineer from Luther Luckett Correctional Facility and also had worked at Clayton & Lambert Manufacturing.
He is preceded in death by his parents Howard and Cora Faye McDonald; sister, Sue Carol McDonald; and son, Larry Jones.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Shirley Botner McDonald; sons, Tom (Jonetta) and Troy Milton (Amiee) McDonald, Craig (Julie) and Brett Jones; daughter, Pam Jones; brothers, Keith and Johnny McDonald; sisters, Joann Simpson and Brenda McGehee; grandchildren, Caleb, Heather, Crit, Cyle, Cadie, Kaylan, Casey and Christy Jones, Blayne and Madison Rose McDonald, Destinee Rudd, Gerad and Chance Cowen and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Wednesday, July 10, from 4-8pm and Thursday, July 11 from 2-8pm at the Oldham County Funeral Home, 706 W. Jefferson St. in La Grange.
Service will be 1pm Friday, July 12 at the Northeast Christian Church, 9900 Brownsboro Rd. in Louisville. Burial to take place at Floydsburg Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to North Oldham County Little League, 600 N. 4th St. La Grange, KY 40031 in memory of Robert.

My condolences to the McDonald family. The McDonald family lived at one time across the railroad tracks behind my house in Buckner. Bobby along with Johnny played a lot of slo-pitch for Buckner Christian Church & fast pitch softball for the Buckner Twins. Have some great memories from our times together growing up. RIP ole friend.

Thanks for coaching us Bobby in 1979 when we put a softball team together. Exactly who we needed. Thanks for being tough on us, and giving us laughs and encouragement too. Great coach for our little league Optimist team too. I love you Tom and Troy. Always like family.
