Austin B. Pastore

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Austin B. Pastore, 28, of Greencastle, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Hershey Medical Center, as a result of injuries related to an automobile accident on Oct. 28, 2021.

Born Jan. 23, 1995, in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of Stephen M. and Allison I. (Matson) Pastore.

Austin graduated from James Buchanan High School, Mercersburg, Pa., with the Class of 2014.

In his early years, Austin worked at Talhem's Gas Station. At the time of the accident, he was working for New Directions Utilities, Inc., in Hagerstown.

He was a member of Frank L. Carbaugh American Legion Post #373 in Greencastle and enjoyed motorcycles, guns, diesel trucks and RC cars.

Austin was a very caring and compassionate young man. He was always there to help anyone in need. He was loved by many friends and family and also people who followed his Facebook page, Prayers and Updates for Austin. The family appreciated all of their love and support.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Chad Wolff of Clarksburg, W.V., and Dusty Wolff of Greencastle; his paternal grandparents, Frank and Judy Pastore of Allegany, N.Y.; his very special Aunt Karen Sheffield; 10 nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lester and Pauline Matson.

Visitation was observed the evening before, with the service on Saturday, March 11, 2023, in Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, Greencastle. Pastor Gayle Ruble officiated. Burial followed in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
