Brian Benjamin Obituary
SALAMANCA - Brian M. Benjamin, 65, of Salamanca, died unexpectedly Monday (May 2, 2022) at home.
Born June 2, 1956, in Salamanca, he was the son of the late Robert and Joan Butler Benjamin. He was married May 1, 1983, to the former Jacqueline Duhan, who survives.
He was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 1974, and earned his nursing degree from Jamestown Community College.
Brian had been employed as a registered nurse with Bradford Regional Medical Center, Bradford, Pa., for over 30 years, and had previously been employed at the former Salamanca Hospital and Salamanca Nursing Home.
He enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren; and the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was an avid reader and could speak several languages. He also enjoyed music, playing the guitar and piano. He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and part of the Bills Mafia.
Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Jessica (Aaron) Krause and Anna (Jude) Newark, both of Salamanca; two sons, Jason Benjamin and Dylan (Stephanie) Benjamin, both of Salamanca; nine granddaughters, Emily and Brianna Benjamin, McKenzie Newark, Alarice, Abigail, Audrey and Adeline Krause, Erica and Peyton Benjamin, all of Salamanca; four grandsons, Arlen, Archer and Deegan Newark, and Mason Benjamin, all of Salamanca; a sister, Kathy (Rod) Secor of Salamanca; two brothers, Robert (Tommi) Benjamin and Michael (Cathy) Benjamin, both of Salamanca; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday (May 5, 2022) at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca.

This man was one if the greatest men that I had the pleasure of knowing. Always greeted you with a smile and always joked around with you regardless of the situation. He made sure that you were comfortable around him. I will miss him.

I had the privilege of working with Brian for many years at BRMC. Brian was a exemplary nurse and person. His knowledge was vast , and he never hesitated to teach others. There was not a day that went by, that he was not talking about his family , with that ear to ear grin. Especially, his grandchildren. A true family man. The people that were fortunate enough to know him were the better for it . I hope your memories of Brian help your hearts heal. I will miss my friend very much . I´m very sorry for your loss .

I was very sad to see that Brian passed. Many times we would work with Brian in the ER and every single time came out with a smile on our face, or better educated. A terrific nurse, treated everyone with respect, whether it was the paid medics or volunteers like us in Limestone. What a great person. God bless his family.

So sorry for your loss. I worked with Brian at both the Salamanca Hospital and here at Bradford. I work in the lab, but interacted with him in the nursing units. He nearly always had something amusing to say, and you could always count on him for help. Sincere condolences.

My sincere condolences to your family. I had the pleasure of working with Brian at the hospital. He was an amazing person and his sense of humor was welcomed by those around him.
