Carol McCarthy Obituary

PERRYSBURG - Carol M. McCarthy, of 12111 Main St., went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday (Feb. 12, 2025) in Bertrand Chaffee Hospital, Springville.

She was born May 22, 1948, in Fillmore, a daughter of the late Charles Edmund and Gladys Bundy McCarthy Sr.

Carol enjoyed watching western movies and doing her various jobs at the WNY DDSO, which included working in the kitchen.

Surviving are her siblings, Eugene (Raquel) McCarthy of Angelica and Deborah (Douglas) Wilson of Kenmore; a brother-in-law, Stephen P. Sznajder; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Edmund McCarthy, Charles E. McCarthy Jr. and Patrick McCarthy; two sisters, Mary McCarthy Cartwright and Jane Ann McCarthy Sznajder; and a brother-in-law, Clarence Cartwright.

Family and friends may gather from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 16, 2025) at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N. Genesee St., Fillmore. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday (Feb. 17, 2025) in St. Patrick's Church, Fillmore. Fr. John Cullen will be celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Fillmore.

Memorials if desired may be made to DDSO of Western New York, Perrysburg Office, 12234 Main St., Perrysburg, NY 14129.
