Connie Sue Obituary

Connie Lou Sue

ALLEGANY -- Connie Lou Sue, 79, of Allegany, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday (March 10, 2026), surrounded by her family.

She was born May 10, 1947 in Burke, South Dakota to the late Carl and Minnie (Vasika) Stucker.  She was married to Donald E. Sue who survives.

Connie retired from Conap after 35 years of employment. After retirement, Connie continued to work for the Town of Allegany for ten years and for the Allegany Limestone School District for three years.

Known for her joy for life, Connie was active in her community and enjoyed being a recent member of the Allegany American Legion and the 60 Plus Club, as well as many other organizations throughout her years.  Her passion was her family, and she enjoyed much of her time spent with them at "the pond," camping, playing cards, attending all of their concerts, plays, and recitals, and games and celebrating each other.  She also enjoyed going to the casino, traveling, dinners, and dancing, and just sitting with her friends and enjoying conversation and laughter over coffee.

She is survived by her husband, Donald E. Sue, to whom she was married for sixty years; one son, Mark (Tammy) Sue and one daughter, Dawn Marlett, both of Allegany; four grandchildren, Kristina Marlett, Jonathan Sue, Alyssia Scull, and Jeff Sue; and nine great grandchildren, Aubrey, Bentley, Greyson, Karter, Miley, Jayden, Aaliyah, Sophia, and Waylon; one brother, Dale (Robin) Stucker of Allegany; one sister, Carolyn Erickson of Winner, South Dakota, and her special friend, Gail Vida Smith of Olean.

The family will receive friends on Friday (March 13, 2026) from 11AM to 1PM at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road, Olean. The funeral service will begin at 1PM at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Allegany Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Connie's honor to the Allegany Rescue and EMS, 10 N. 1st St, Allegany NY 14706.

As a young child, my family and I always traveled from Dallas, TX to Gregory, SD for summer vacations. We stayed with my grandparents, Ed and Rose Vosika who lived on the farm. There weren't any other young kids around and my sweet cousin Connie would always came to visit. We played with dolls in the corn fields. To this day, I remember Connie's kindness as we had a lot of laughs and so much fun. These days, I visit her Facebook page and will miss all the special post, so many expressing her faith and love of her family. My sweet cousin, may you RIP without pain. Please give my Mom and Dad a big hug. Cuz Kathy

So sorry for your loss Mark. I remember a funny birthday cake she had made for you when we were maybe 12-13. You had a little crew over to the house. My thoughts and prayers to you and your family.

Connie´s energy, sense of humor and love of life will be missed on Karl Road. We were lucky to have her for a neighbor and a friend.
