Frederick Lyons Obituary
Born May 28, 1943, in Bradford, he was a son of Frederick J. and Evelyn June Hilliard Lyons. He was a 1961 graduate of Bradford High School and later graduated in 1963 from Penn State Behrend in Erie, with an associate degree in drafting and design.
He had been employed at Wind Tunnel Design in St. Louis, Mo., later in Groton, Conn. for the Electric Boat Co. as a piping engineer, for Combustion Engineering in Hartford and also in San Clemente, Calif. Fred then moved to Eldred in 2000 and was employed by Time Warner, in Coudersport, until his retirement in 2008.
He enjoyed bicycle trail riding and playing golf.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Suzanne (Robert Olsen) Lyons of Cave Creek, Ariz. and Jennifer (Akram) Krayem of La Mirada, Calif.; two grandchildren, Kiana and Zachary Krayem; a sister, Diana Cattoni of Erie; and a cousin, Bonnie (Pat) Buccalini of Bradford.
Friends are invited to attend a gathering and refreshments from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday (Aug. 22, 2018) in the fellowship hall of the First Church of God, with the assistant Rev. Dan Manning, officiating.
Private burial will follow in the McKean Memorial Park in Lafayette.
