Marvin Beeles Obituary
GREAT VALLEY - Marvin L. Beeles, 88, formerly of Great Valley, died Wednesday morning (Sept. 20, 2023) at Salamanca Rehab-ilitation & Nursing, following a short illness.
Born March 23, 1935, in Arcade, he was the son of the late Lee and LaGressa Button Beeles. He was married in San Diego, Calif., to the former Mary "Cynthia" Coker, who predeceased him in 2008.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving with the 82nd Airborne, Fort Brag, N.C., and had been stationed in Alaska.
Marvin had been employed as a custodian with the San Diego City School for 20 years and had owned and operated an appliance store in San Diego.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, the outdoors, hunting, country music and was an avid San Diego Chargers and Padres fan. He also enjoyed running marathons.
Surviving are a daughter, Lorrie (Eric) Niesley of Ft. Lawn, S.C.; a son, Todd Beeles of Olean; two grandsons, Kevin Niesley of San Francisco, Calif. and Stephen Niesley of Fort Mill, S.C.; a great-granddaughter, Hayden Niesley of Fort Mill; and a brother, Ronald G. Beeles of San Diego,
There will be no visitation. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday (Sept. 22, 2023) in Delevan Cemetery, Delevan, with full military honors conducted by members of the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post 535 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars John F. Ahrens Post 5296.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca.
