Nancy Arnold Obituary
OLEAN -- Nancy A. Arnold, 90, passed away peacefully Friday (October 24, 2025) at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born January 21, 1935 in Olean, she was the daughter of Walter and Josephine Plewnarz Suda. On September 14, 1957 at St. Bonaventure Church in Allegany she married John B. "Jack" Arnold who predeceased her September 13, 2024 .
Nancy was a 1952 graduate of Olean High School. Nancy's lifelong passion was taking care of her family and others in need. She filled her days by decorating, cooking, and volunteering at The Bridge thrift store.
She was a member of St. Bonaventure Church.
Surviving besides her husband are five children, Denise (Max) Hayden of Chesapeake, VA, Nanette (Richard) Hogan of Amissville, VA, Sally (Michael) Manesiotis of Hilton Head, SC, Thomas (Michele) Arnold of Olean and John (Kristen) Arnold of Avon; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Dorothy Kosciol and Elizabeth Whitton.
Friends are welcome to attend a memorial mass to be celebrated Saturday (November 8, 2025) at 10am at St. Bonaventure Church. A visitation will precede the mass from 9am until 10am at the church . Burial will be held privately at St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to The Bridge Thrift Store, PO Box 1, Allegany, NY 14706 or Homecare and Hospice, 115 E Main St., Allegany, NY 14706.
Special thanks goes to Worthy Pharmacy and Hospice for their care and guidance provided to the family.
Arrangements are with the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.

Dear Arnold Family,
We were deeply saddened to hear of Nancy´s passing. She and Jack were wonderful neighbors and friends. We have many happy memories of good times spent with them-and they were so kind to Bernie and Dick. Their presence will be missed but fondly remembered on 24th Street. Please accept our heartfelt condolences.
May you find comfort in the love and support of those around you, and peace in the memories you hold dear.

Sincere condolences to the family. We remember her as such a kind and gracious person, truly a great soul. When we'd see her, she carried herself with such warmth and generosity. She will be missed. May you find peace during this difficult time.
