Norma Hilliard Obituary
Born Feb. 21, 1929, in Portville, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Clara Huey Russell. On Sept. 18, 1948, in Portville, she married Joseph Hilliard, who survives.
Mrs. Hilliard was a graduate of Portville Central School. She worked for many years at the switchboard for the former St. Francis Hospital in Olean. After her retirement, she worked at the former Green Thumb in Olean. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Olean and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, word searches, playing Bingo and cards. Most of all, she loved spending time with family and friends.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Larry (Patricia) Hilliard of Texas; five daughters, Karen (Paul) St. Clair of Florida, Debbie Hilliard of Florida, Denise Wiltsey of Florida, Marcia (Bob) Graham of Florida and Pam (Richard) Davis of Allegany; eleven grandchildren, Laurie and Daniel Hilliard, Bobby and Jason Graham, Amy and Alan St. Clair, Mark and Kelly Wiltsey, Stephanie, Tyler and Cole Davis; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Vivian Stone of California and Annetta Strieber of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one brother, Milford Russell; and five sisters, Twila Brooks, Gail Hartwig, Laura VanHorn, Violet Cummings and Beatrice Humphrey.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 1303 E. State St., Olean. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday (Feb. 2, 2018) at the funeral home. Rev. Suzanne Block, pastor of Christ United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2805 Wehrle Drive, Buffalo, NY 14221.

Condolences to all of the Hilliard family. So glad that Norma had a good long life and slept away peacefully. It doesn't get much better than that. I am sure you have lots of wonderful memories of fun times spent together over the years, and I hope they will ease your heartache.
