Peggy Frankenfield Obituary
OLEAN - Peggy L. Frankenfield, of 1278 Windfall Road, Olean, passed away Sunday (Dec. 12, 2021) at her home, after a lengthy illness.
Born April 26, 1947, in Olean, she was the daughter of Herbert and Margaret Clapp Rarey. In 1983, in Olean, she married Larry Frankenfield, who survives.
Peggy received her LPN from the former St. Francis School of Nursing. She worked for many years at the Olean General Hospital as an LPN, a career which she was very proud of and enjoyed doing.
She was a huge animal lover, and especially loved the company of her beloved cat, Cookie.
Besides her husband, Peggy is survived by one daughter, Theresa (Conrad Howland) Lowe of Ischua; two grandchildren, Dennis (Erica) Fox and Nicole Fox; four great-grandchildren, Taylor, Madison, Paisley and Teegan; three stepchildren, L. Scott Frankenfield, Shawn Frankenfield and Tara Grace; five step-grandchildren, Bobby, Jacob, Tyler, Ashley and Daniel; one brother; and one sister.
She was predeceased by her parents.
Private funeral services were held at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 1303 E. State St., Olean. Burial was in Mount View Cemetery, Olean.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to Home Care and Hospice, 1225 W. State St., Olean; or to the Allegany County SPCA, 5440 NY-19 Belmont, NY 14813.
