Ralph Manning Obituary
GOWANDA -- Ralph V. Manning ,102, of Gowanda, formerly of Cattaraugus, NY passed away Tuesday September 23, 2025 at the Olean General Hospital.
He was born October 30, 1922 in the Town of New Albion, NY the son of the late William and Alice (Easton) Manning.
Mr. Manning was a WWII veteran having served in the US Army Air Corps from 1943-1946.He was employed at GRAMCO in Little Valley, NY as a manager for 45 years and also was a self-employed carpenter.
He was a very active member of the New Apostolic Church in Cattaraugus, NY for 67 years, a member of the 60 plus club and past member of the Little Valley American Legion.
Mr. Manning was married to the former Fritzi Thalheimer who predeceased him in 1975 he also was married to the former Pauline Brown who predeceased him in 2007.
He is survived by a son Carl Manning of Gowanda, NY and 4 daughters Lori (Kevin) Gee of Farmington, NY, Holly Manning of Cattaraugus, NY, Amber (Jake) Proper of Falconer, NY and Ginger (Larry) Cullers of Brandywine, WV and 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two sons Duane and Brad Purvis,5 brothers W. Richard, L. Elroy, Willard, Nobart and Hobart Manning and four sisters Mary Bartlett, Alta Mosher, Marian Warner and Harriet Pugsley.
Friends may call at the Mentley Funeral Home Inc. 411 Rock City Street Little Valley, NY on Saturday October 4, 2025 from 10am - noon.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at noon from the funeral home, with food and fellowship to follow at the Cattaraugus Firemans' Club in Cattaraugus, NY
Burial will be in Liberty Park Cemetery in Cattaraugus, NY
Memorials may be made to the New Apostolic Church Randolph, NY
