Rebecca A. Millis Field

OLEAN - Rebecca A. "Becky" Millis Field, 59, of Olean, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2022, at her home.

Born Sept. 11, 1963, in Wayland, she was the daughter of Richard A. and Coreen L. Mahoney Millis, who predeceased her.

Becky was a 1981 graduate of Geneva High School, where she played basketball and volleyball. She attended Delhi University until 1983 and completed her bachelor's degree in 1985 from Florida International University.

Becky worked in the restaurant and hospitality business, primarily as a baker and in catering. Locally, she worked for Aramark Food Service at St. Bonaventure University, where she enjoyed the campus atmosphere, particularly Bonaventure basketball.

She liked to donate her time helping the elderly during the tax season each year at the John Ash Community Center. She also enjoyed gardening, and she especially loved the company of her cats.

She is survived by two children, Kaitlin (Marcus Snyder) Field and Marcus Field, both of Olean; one brother, Gregory (Tracy) Millis of Ft. Myers, Fla.; two nephews, Jason (Mallory) Millis and Damion Millis; two nieces, Charlene (Jason) Reid and Brittany (Jacob Hamed) Millis; and several cousins in the Hornell area.

The family welcomes friends to a visitation from 11 a.m. until noon Friday, Dec. 16, 2022, at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road, Olean. A Celebration of Life service will begin at noon in the funeral home. Rev. Doti McIntyre will officiate.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
