Richard Marcellin Obituary
OLEAN - Richard F. "Dick" Marcellin Sr., of Olean, passed away Wednesday (March 15, 2023) peacefully at home.
Born July 17, 1939, in Olean, he was the son of the late Marcel and Cecelia Favro Marcellin. On Sept. 1, 1962, in Olean, he married the former Josephine A. Fusiara, who survives.
Mr. Marcellin attended Olean High School and was employed by Dresser Clark for 36 years, retiring in 2001.
He was an avid Buffalo Bills and Sabres fan, a member of the former Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church in Olean, and a life member of the St. Stephen's and Pulaski Clubs.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Richard (Ann) Marcellin of Corning, Greg (Debbie) Marcellin of Olean and Mark (Monica) Marcellin of Plano, Texas; one daughter, Teresa (Jim) Perkins of Bolivar; a sister, Irene Colomaio of Olean; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Marcellin was predeceased by three brothers, Louis, James and Alfred.
Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday (March 18, 2023) at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 1303 E. State St., Olean. A funeral service will begin at noon in the funeral home. Rev. Michael Reyes, OFM, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Children's Hospital of Buffalo Foundation, 1028 Main St., Fouth Floor, Buffalo, NY 14202; or to the American Cancer Society, cancer.org.
