Rose Bressan Obituary
ALLEGANY --- Rose M. Bressan, 103, of Allegany, and of Eden Heights in recent years, entered the beautiful gates of Heaven Thursday morning (March 23, 2023) at Absolut Care of Allegany.
Born March 16, 1920 in Allegany, she was the daughter of Cesare and Mary Karuch Cacciotti, Sr.. On April 14, 1956 she married Paul Bressan who predeceased her May 8, 1985.
Rose had been employed by the former Freitag's Liquor Store. She was a member of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels, and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and playing cards.
She is survived by a sister Mary Welch of Allegany; and many nieces and nephews including Kathleen (Doc) Gardiner, Karen (Dave) Barton, Jeff (Glenda Taylor) Welch, Sandra Thornton, Deborah Howley, Sue Cacciotti, Joseph Cacciotti, Phyllis Dailey, Laurie Benton, Ronald Cacciotti, Robert Cacciotti, Mark Cacciotti, and Diane Gehring, and many great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by three brothers Pascal Cacciotti, Sylvester Cacciotti, and Cesare Cacciotti, Jr., two sisters Ulanda Cacciotti and Madeline Cacciotti, a brother-in-law Charles "Dutch" Welch; three sisters-in-law Rose Cacciotti, Lorraine Cacciotti, and Robert Cacciotti, and a great niece Kiona Welch.
Visitation will be held Monday (March 27, 2023) from 9:30am until 10:30am at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels, 202 S. Union St., Olean. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 10:30am in the church. Rev. Peter Bassey will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of WNY, 6400 Sheridan Drive Suite 320 Amherst, NY 14221.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.

I´m so deeply sorry to hear of Rose´s passing, she was such a lovely person and I loved the time I spent with her while I worked at Eden Heights!
