Thomas Sibley Obituary
KILL BUCK - Thomas J. Sibley, 65, of Kill Buck, died Monday morning (Oct. 20, 2025) at home, following a long illness.
Born March 20, 1960, in Salamanca, he was the son of the late Claude Halsaver and Nancy Confer. He was married March 20, 2003, to the former Ann Fitzgerald, who survives.
Tom had been employed a cashier at Save-A-Lot, the former Hotel Dudley and had been an assistant manager at the former Uni-Mart, all in Salamanca, and had also worked at the former King's Market in Great Valley.
He was a member of the Kill Buck Volunteer Fire Company for over 20 years and served on the Kill Buck Fire Commission for several years.
He was an avid Buffalo Bills and Washington Commanders fan.
Surviving besides his wife are four daughters, Patricia Sibley and Kimberly Sibley, both of Watertown, Katelin Sutton of Salamanca and Kaylee Sibley of Kill Buck; two sons, Thomas Sibley Jr. and Anthony Fitzgerald Sibley, both of Kill Buck; four granddaughters, Brianna, Makayla, Anna and Ava Sibley, all of Watertown; a grandson, Dylan Flath of Watertown; four sisters, Linda Halsaver of North Carolina, Melody Halsaver of Salamanca, Pam Boatright of Kansas and Anita Ryder of Mississippi; two brothers, Claude Halsaver II of Michigan and Steven Halsaver of Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a grandson, Jacob Sibley; and a sister, Susan Confer.
There will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family and will be announced.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca.
