there is so much one could say about my uncle AL it is hard to find the right words, I have so many memories about my uncle that I would like to share some of them with you now, Al was the kind of man that would decorate your hospital room with all kinds of ballons and tell all kinds of jokes to cheer you up if you were unfortunate enough to be there in the first place, I remember watching him walk as a clown in the 4th of july parade, how all of his nieces and newfews would run top speed to be the first one there when he would whistle, I remember watching whose's line is it anyway on his water bed when we were younger and how he would show up tape after tape of peanut the puppet and how we loved it, My uncle Al started a family tradition where he would stick his finger in your birthday cake and I know for me having a birthday cake without unlce Al's finger having been stuck in it just wont be the same... there are so many more memories I have but cant share them all, I know that he will be missed by everyone that knew him and everyone that had the honor of calling him family!!! Uncle Al, I love you and miss you very much!!!!

I am so sorry for the lost of your dear loved one. It's comforting to know that God cares for all of us and losing a loved one is something we cannot get used to. The Bible gives us hope that one day we can see our dear loved one again. On behalf of all mankind Jesus surrender his soul for many. John 15:13 says “No one has love greater than this, that someone should surrender his soul on behalf of his friends.” Truly I am sorry to hear of the loss of your dear loved one and I hope these few words will bring you comfort and hope.

My Brother
I will miss you so very much. I enjoyed calling you almost everyday and talking to you about everything. You have brought such joy to everyone. I know you are in a better place and are feeling no more pain. We will share our memories of you with everyone. I am so proud to have had you as a brother. I love you with all my heart. I know we will see each other again.
p.s. I will keep up with the finger print in the birthday cakes for you.
Love you!

Al, we love and miss you very much. We loved your jokes, the way you laughed and all the ballons you made. Tell all the family up there hi and that you all are in our prayers. One day we will see you again, but until then we'll stay here on earth and enjoy all the memories we had with you.

Sharon, Lori and Family,
It was such a blessing to visit with you last Spring and finally meet Al, what a gem! Recently, I met a friend who clowns at an event. She wants ME to join her. Who knows, Sharon, I might be calling you to pass along one of Al's noses! Let laughter and love lift your spirits. Love, Patty
A MESSAGE FROM AL
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

AL was a very special guy. I rode the bus with him for many years from Council Bluffs to work in downtown Omaha. He used to stop in the bank where I worked with a balloon made into a flower just to brighten my day every once in awhile. He'd always say don't forget to give them some water. Al was always a hit with the little kids when he did the carnival at my son's school. They loved Al and the neat balloons he did for them. My prayers & thoughts are with you and your family. I know he's probably smiling at us now.

Daddy,
how do i say goodbye to you? i know that you are always with me...that you will always remain in my heart. I am really trying hard to remember this now. I keep thinking that the phone is going to ring...that your going to once again tell a joke, wait for my laugh and sweetly say "goodbye Gina" and quickly hang up. i keep waiting for you to call me and excitedly tell me to turn to the history channel so we can watch a piece on Egypt together and talk about it later. i keep waiting for you to call me just to say you love me. but my phone doesnt ring. I am going to miss your weekly visits, your daily calls, your kisses on my left cheek. Im going to miss the santa like sparkles in your crystal blue eyes, your laugh that gave me goosebumps, your random thoughts pulled from thin air. you were the one person i opened up most to, the one i could talk to about anything and everything. we shared our stories, our thoughts, our deepest questions of life. i dont know how to close any of my writings to you, am not ready for final words...i am keeping you close to me always Daddy...you are always my heart.

Hey Uncle AL! First off I want to tell you that I love you so much! I miss you so much already. I still am in shock over your passing. I know that you are in a safe place in heaven with the lord. I am really going to miss your jokes, your laugh, and your good cooking. I loved living next door to you, it always made me feel so much safer to live on my own, knowing that I had my uncle Al right there if I needed you. I will pray for you always. Say hi to marcie for me and tell her that I love her. I was reading passages in my bible and found one that is perfect for you. I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys. As the lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters.
Song of Solomon 2:1-2
May you rest in peace always!
