Allan Pollock Obituary

Allan Pollock of Omaha passed away at the age of 94 on October 29, 2013 surrounded by family. He was born on March 13, 1919 in Ewing, NE to Fern and Jim Pollock. Allan was the third of five children. He married Josephine Sturbaum of Ewing on September 8, 1937, in Oakland, CA, where they lived for almost two years. They returned to Ewing, where their only child, Pat, was born. Allan is also a WWII veteran, having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. Allan and Josephine established and operated Pollock Redi-Mix Inc. in Ewing for more than 50 years before selling the business in 2007. Allan and Josephine live in Omaha but spend several months at year at their home in Dana Point, CA, near their daughter Pat Crosby-Miranda and her husband Bob. They have three grandchildren: Carol (Crosby) Vander Meer and her husband Steven of Arcata, CA; Brad Crosby and his wife Laura of Omaha, NE and Tia Miranda of Des Moines, IA. Allan and Josephine also have two great grandsons: Conner and Colten Crosby.

My mother was Josephine Mlnarik Finley. She was a cousin of Allan"s wife, Josephine. Condolences to Par and family from our family ( Dennis Finley and Jean Finley Green} and the other Frank and Cecilia Sturbaum Mlnarik descendants and their families.
