Rutledge, Sr.; daughter, Michelle Jimerson; son, Nakia (Monica) Jimerson; step-sons, Clerence Rutledge, Ladell Reis, Damon Stevenson; step-daughter, Demetria Stevenson; sister, Paulette Franklin; brothers, Jerome (Jane) Jimerson, Willie Jimerson; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; special aunt, Johanna Johnson; dear friend, Myrtle Marshall; special cousin, Retha Wash; and a host of other relatives.

All my love goes to the entire Rutledge and Jimerson family, may you find most needed comfort in knowing how Mama Althea touched yours and many lives while she walked the earth. She was so very nice to me while growing up with Nakia as a young teenager to an adult. Layton may you have peace and strength to carry on for Althea and the rest of the family. I wish deeply I could be there for you all but my prayers are and have been sent up our Lord and Savior. I will truly miss her kind words and that beautiful smile that she always had! Nakia I am here for you Chief!

I met Althea in jr. High School many, years ago. Later we found out ours dads were best friends. Years later I met Paulette. Althea was always a beautiful person inside and out. To The Rutledge Family,

I am very sorry to hear of the loss of Althea. I remember her at Tech and she also was a good friend of my sister. A few months ago, my sister and I had just talked about people who we knew in common that she had recently seen, Althea was one of them. She was always so nice and sweet at Tech with a great personality. She will definitely be missed by all who knew her. May her family cherish the great days you had with her as mother and wife.
