I went to UNK with Amanda. She was a friend and an AOII sister. What I remember most about Amanda was her contagious smile and her desire to always help other people. When I think about Amanda, the word genuine always comes to mind. She never pretended to be anyone's friend ... her friendship was real. Although I didn't get to spend much time with Amanda outside of the AOII house, it wasn't hard to see that she was an amazing woman. I am so glad that I got to see her last September at our AOII reunion in Fremont. She will be dearly missed. My condolences go out to all of her friends and family. May God be with you.

My deepest sympathy to the entire Florance family for the loss of a great person. All of us students at College of Saint Mary will miss hearing Amanda's voice as well as her wonderful hand gestures while she would talk. I've had the best past 3 years with her in classes as well as outside class time hanging out with her and getting to know her more & more. I will always remember the fun, laughs, & even hard/frustrating times we've had with her in our OT classes. Her personality, hard work, & expertise was greatly needed & appreciated in school. In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Rebecca, Troy, Eric, Daniel, Michael and Shaun-

We are so saddened by your loss. Amanda was such an amazing individual and she will be missed by everyone that was blessed to have known her. I remember when she swam with Drew in high school and how encouraging she was to all her teammates, always cheering on their accomplishments regardless of how small. Also, when she babysat for Zach and Alicia and Alicia wanted to be just like her when she became a ‘high schooler’
I also remember at her Graduation Open House reading her ‘Psychology Project’ from her Junior Psychology Class and how she continually talked about her family and how proud she was of her brothers and their talents. The whole Papillion Community was truly blessed to have been touched by Amanda and her positive, caring, and friendly spirit! You are all in our prayers!

My deepest condolences to you in this your time of need. I know that there is no greater bond than that of a child and parent and I hope that in the days and weeks ahead that the wonderful memories you have of her will bring you comfort. Amanda was an AOTT sister of mine. She reached out to me and we became instant friends. She meant a lot to me as we spent a lot of time together my freshman year at UNK. I wish that I would have stayed in better contact with her after she had moved back home.
I know there isn't anything that I can say to make any pain go away except that she was always telling me how much she loved her family and how proud she was of them. Once again my deepest sympathies in your time of loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Windows. That is how we often saw Amanda-through windows. Through the sign-in window at Papio Pool, at the Runzas in Papillion and Kearney, through the front door window of her childhood home that was crowded with family and friends helping her celebrate her graduation day, behind the window of the old car she drove before she got the red Toyota. She always smiled, always waved. The windows made a beautiful frame for a wonderful young girl who became a wonderful young lady. You will be missed.
