Bettie, our beloved mother, grandma, great-gramma, aunt, and friend passed away on April 1, 2021. Bettie always considered family and friends life's most precious gift. She also truly loved her home of 63 years. Bettie loved working, as her retiring at 88 clearly shows. One of her favorite pastimes was to seize a bargain, with a license plate NEV HOME to prove her willingness to search for that perfect gift.
Preceded in death by husband, Roland E. Kenny; parents, Anton and Elma Kepak; sisters, Viola Walsh and Lucille Lorkovic; brother, Clarence "Bud" Kepak; sister-in-law, Jean Targy; great-grandsons, Clayton Schofield and James Thomas Lyons. Survived by sons: Tim (Sandy), Mike (Kim), Steve (Mary), Pat (Susan), Mark (MaryPat) of North Platte, Chris (Christine), and Brian (Kesa); daughter, Colleen Brudny; grandchildren: Kayla (Jamey) Conrad, Erin (Barry) Green, Matt (Ann), Meghan (Igor) Partem, Roland (Lindsey), Laura, Eileen, Zevida, Sean, Elizabeth, Thomas, Kellie Schofield, Paul (Natalie), Patrick, Doug (Natasha), Caitlin (Tommy) Lyons, Bridgid (Ben) Woodhead, Daniel, Allison (Jerrod) Pavelka, Mary Kate (Kevin) Tighe, Jack, Autumn (Brian) Wurgler, Jake, Joe (Theori), Ben (Liz), Jami Bright, Emily and Abby Brudny; great-grandchildren: Jayden and Kealey Conrad, Killian and Ainsley Green, Charlie and Graham Kenny, Celeste, Gabrielle and Nora Kenny, Savannah Schofield, Mason Shepoka, Madelyn and Jacquelyn Kenny, Noah Kenny, Lucy, Liv, and Sam Lyons, Kate, Charlie, Annie, and Jack Woodhead, Will Pavelka, John Tighe, Jackson, Eva, Liam and Brooklyn Wurgler, Fallyn Kenny, Milo and Theo Kenny, Charlotte, Gabriella, Josephine, Eden, and Sophia Kenny, Ella Kate and Adalee Grace Bright, Charlotte and Savanah Smutz.
ROSARY: Friday, April 9th at 10:30am at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 11802 Pacific, followed by MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL at 11am. Because Bettie chose to donate her body to science, interment will be at a later date at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Endless Journey Hospice, St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, or St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church.

Bettie was like my second mom! We had our coffee together in the mornings and just talked! I will always remember her guideance she gave me and all the good advice she had given me! She will always hold a strong spot in my heart and will treasure her forever until we meet again for our morning coffee together! Love you Bettie

Our Aunt Bettie was always very special to all of us in the Walsh Clan. As descendants of Viola Kepak Walsh, we got together with the Kenny Clan many times. Bettie was so energetic, funny, kind, a whiz at organizing, and generous with her time and advice. She had opinions and wasn't afraid to share them (but she also listened to your own opinions). She had connections and wasn't afraid to use them; (she helped me buy my first stereo system at a very good price when I was right out of college; I still have it and it still works.) But we don't need things to help us remember her. Her no-nonsense but loving presence will still be felt. We all will miss her so, and we send our deepest sympathies to all in the vast Kenny Clan. Even though we may be separated by many miles, our hearts are with you. May God Bless you all. To the family of Betty Kenny: I want to give my sincere condolences to everyone. I will cherish all our memories together including shopping for good deals on the good stuff. Most of all I enjoyed sharing ideas and different opinions with her with no expectations. She was a very good friend of mine and I will always respect our special memories. I have known Bettie almost as long as I have known Colleen. She was such a classy lady, with the best taste! I remember the cows in her Kitchen, her beautiful home and her personal style. I remember a cake fight at my house, that I think Bettie may or may not have instigated when Colleen turned 30 ;). What a great lady, full of fun and spirit. I see that same love of life in Colleen. Bettie was an amazing lady. During the time I worked with her at Friendship Program, I saw her immense love of her family, talents of organizing, detail checking, and finding spectacular bargains. She always offered support and a listening ear when I had a question about my twin babies or caregiving for my mother. Even after she retired she would occasionally send me notes to encourage me. Truly a classy, one of a kind, wise woman.

I worked with Bettie at Northwestern Bell. Although she was considerably older than me we developed a friendship. I will always remember fondly the beautiful quilt and pillow she made for my first baby over 35 years ago. May she Rest In Peace.
