Preceded in death by brothers, Adolph and Victor; parents, Adolph and Anna Jirka; 6 half-brothers and sisters. Survived by wife, Frances; daughters, Carol (Mike) Galaska and Dr. Barbara Jirka; sons, Dr. Jerry (Susie) and Dr. Jeff (Heather) Jirka; 4 grandchildren, Jenna (Greg) Fields, Jon Jones, Dr. Grant (Ada) and Paige Jirka; sister, Libbye (Larry) Fauver; many nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL SERVICE: Friday, 11:30am, Korisko Larkin Staskiewicz Chapel. VISITATION: Thursday, 4-7pm, with 6pm South Omaha Sokol Honor Guard Service at Funeral Home.
Interment: Bohemian Cemetery.

Uncle Bo was a good man. As his nephew, I always felt accepted and appreciated. In the years that I knew him, he was consistently a man of character; a man's man if you will; strong, yet tenderhearted, disciplined, yet fun loving, a good listener and observer, an appreciator of nature and life itself and most of all he was kind and respectful of his common man. He will be missed for sure, and for certain the world has lost a measure of nobility with his passing. My love and condolences go out to Aunt Fran, cousins Carol, Barbie, Jerry and Jeff, along with all of your families. May God bless, comfort, and strengthen you all. I will be keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers of the next days, weeks, and months. You are loved. Sincerely, Ed

Bo and his brothers Al and Vic were childhood friends of my dad. We took our cars to their Mobil station and their car care center. Great family and a credit to South Omaha.
