Carolyn Sonderman Obituary
Carolyn Sonderman, age 87, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025, in Omaha, Nebraska.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Vincent Sonderman; her parents, Maurice and Margaret Gilmore; her granddaughter, Bridget Lynn Sonderman; and her sister-in-law, Pat Gilmore.
Carolyn is survived by her children, Dennis (Deb) Sonderman, Michael Sonderman, Dr. John (Mary) Sonderman, Maureen (Dr. George) Emodi, Kathleen (Matt) McKay, and Colleen (John) Corrigan. She was a devoted grandmother to Connor (Melissa) Sonderman, Claire (Eoghan Martin) Sonderman, Katelyn Sonderman, Dr. Olivia (Daniel Choi) Sonderman, Joe (Emily) Sonderman and Will Sonderman, Matthew (Paige) Emodi, Margaret (Matthew) Profumo, Michael (Kristen) Emodi, Andrew Emodi, Bridget and Mary Kate McKay, Niamh, Nora, and Sean Corrigan. Carolyn was also blessed with great-grandchildren Ellie and Annie Sonderman, George and Rosalie Emodi, Henry Emodi, and Charles Profumo. She is further survived by her sister and brother, Teresa Luebbert and Dennis Gilmore; brother-in-law, Don Luebbert; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Carolyn's life was centered on her Catholic faith, family, and showing, by example, the love of Jesus to those she met along the way.
VISITATION will begin Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Mary Our Queen Catholic Church, followed by a Wake Service at 5:00 p.m.
MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Mary Our Queen Catholic Church.
Interment at Resurrection.
The family suggests memorials to the Mary Our Queen Catholic School Tuition Fund.
