Omaha, NE. Preceded in death grandfathers, Frank McCants, Jr., Thomas Curtis along with Godmother, Keianna Payne. Survived by parents, Preston Pope and LaTisha McCants; brothers, Preston Pope, Jr. and Prayvell Pope; grandmothers, Catherine McCants and Beulah Pope; grandfather Edward Mease, Sr., and many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. We will miss his hugs, great smile and his warm greeting "Bueno!!!"
VISITATION at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. MEMORIAL SERVICE at King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church followed by interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Ill never be sure how to say or what to say at times so I express my love for you through my thoughts and sometimes it shows on my face. I still cry as if this is all new to me all over again and even after 4 long years Im still in disbelief . I never even got a chance to say goodbye & thats one of the things that still eats me up to this day. Sitting here thinking to myself like, Im waiting on you to come back any day now . I want to know I love you soooooooo much DMarco & just like you wouldnt let me forget it you make sure you never forget it . You are truly missed baby until we meet again .

Marco , you have no idea how much the family misses you . Tra'shay still talks about you all the time , escially when she sees your photos. When i found out , i just wanted to go crazy . You were such a sweet guy. You were family . You were like the big bro to me , even though we did not get to see each , only when we come to see grandma kitty or bring shay down . But if i knew The month of june that was gonna be the last time i was gonna see you then i would change everything.A month after i saw you. We all miss you . i cant wait to see you when i pass on. D'Marco was a kind, loving, polite and extremely thoughtful young man. He touched many lives and is already sorely missed. If only he had more time to follow the positive path he was trying to forge. God brought him to us for a reason and now his work here is finished. We shall meet up with him again!

First of all, thank you and your family for allowing me to coach D'Marco for many years. He was not only a good ball player he was a respectable kid! I will miss him so much! He was one of my favorite kids from day one, and all the coaches, players and parents loved having him on our team. His wit, his humor, his smile and his courage will be missed. Tish you know you in my heart.. Two days before I lefted I was doing something in the kitchen and someone picked me up. I looked around and it was D'Marco...I was so happy he took the time to come see me...I hugged him so tight. When I think of him I smile; with his tall self. Cause I remember that day. D'Marco's death was an untimely one. I cannot imagine the heartache that the family is going through at this time. There are no words that can comfort you or ease your grief, only GOD can do that.
