David Sallach Obituary
Age 76
David L. Sallach, of Chicago, IL, formerly of Albion, NE, passed away on June 17, 2021. Beloved son of the late Lyle B. and Nellie Brown Sallach; husband of Harriet (Chicago, IL); father of Micah Sallach and Jason Becker; grandfather of 3; brother and brother-in-law; uncle; cousin; and friend to many. Born in Chicago, he grew up in Albion, graduating from Albion High School in 1963. At UNL, he earned his BA, MA, and PhD. After having taught at universities, he conducted research at a national laboratory.
Memorial contributions to the David L. Sallach Scholarship Fund, c/o Cornerstone Bank, Box 471, Albion, NE 68620. This scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from Boone Central HS who will be starting at UNL.
