Debra Bonacci Obituary

Bonacci, Debra "Debbie" Kay

April 16, 1946 - December 8, 2022

On the morning of December 8, 2022, Debra "Debbie" Kay Bonacci passed peacefully away from us at Autumn Pointe Assisted Living in Fort Calhoun, NE. She lived a full life and was loved by all. Debbie was born on April 16, 1946 and graduated from Benson High School in 1964. On October 2, 1965, she married Donald "Don" Bonacci. For many years, they owned and operated the North Omaha Airport, where they lived and raised their children. After retirement, Debbie and Don moved to Bella Vista, AR. Debbie was an active volunteer in both the Omaha and Bella Vista communities. She was predeceased by her parents, Kathryn "Kay" and Ernest "Ernie" Petersen; her husband, Don; and her two oldest children, Jimmy and Libby (Norris). She is survived by her youngest son, Mike; his wife, Becky; her son-in-law, David Norris; and her grandchildren, Colby (Norris), Dylan (Norris), Ben (Bonacci) and Nate (Bonacci).

Continuing her dedication to acts of service, Debbie has donated her body to the University of Nebraska Medical Center in the interest of science. No Service will be held at this time. Memorials can be sent to the Alzheimer's Association or the Fort Calhoun Fire and Rescue Squad.

We were blessed to have known Debbie most of our lives. She always had a beautiful smile and caring personality every time we were able visit and catch up. She was a dedicated supporter of all Pioneer students, musicians, and athletes throughout her life. She will be deeply missed. Our love and prayers are with you Mike, Becky, Ben, and Nate.
